Mac, since you haven't replied, I may as well give my opinion that the prefs are worth the same as the ords. This is also what Fat Prophets think:
They observed that VRLPA were "trading at a discount to the head share in excess of 40 percent. In our opinion, this was irrational given the only difference between the two shares were voting rights."
Since the Kirby's have over 50% of the vote, the voting rights are worthless to non-Kirby investors, and therefore have no value.
