oldtimer2, I wouldn't be worried about the supposed seasonal effect. It was strong in the downtrend to 2001, but not since. Winters were good in 2003, 04 and 05: spectacularly so in 03. 2002 and 2006 were bad, 2007 so so. Overall, not much of an effect.
