you are factually wrong.
voluntary escrow is still binding and is empowered by a legal deed. the reason that it is called voluntary escrow is that it differentiates it from the statutory or regulatory escrow requirements that are placed on shareholders by the ASX.
if voluntary escrow was not binding then every holder (whilst they are holding) would be deemed to be in voluntary escrow.
6 months isnt long but its just long enough, in this company's case, to define its lifetime. ;)
