What to expect is another group of spivs will arrive with projects in hand or projects in mind, will issue a whole bunch of shares or do a consolidation and then issue shares to buy said project and go on milking it till they go bust. If you're lucky there might be a run up in price where you can escape with a few bucks.
There have been a few success stories. Aurora Oil and Gas was taken over as a shell, ended up getting sold for a few billion. The management from Aurora are starting up again at the moment, unfortunately I don't think they're after a backdoor listing this time.
