I was a very early employee at Linc in 2007. The idea was good: we could turn stranded coal deposits into valuable liquid fuels all over the world and people who owned such deposits would flock to us. Additionally, Linc owned 3 coal leases in QLD to provide us with a base, and if the idea was workable then this should have been enough. However they spent all their money on oil fields in North America and lost the plot. I believe that this company was destroyed by the office politicians who were hired after we got the basic coal to liquid plant operating at Chinchilla. but the egos of the senior managers got the better of them.
