Shellbell...
In the past, the PVM share price did not undergo violent swings on big or small volume.
It simply drifted sideways, and down somewhat.... instead of rising sharply in the few days leading to the announcement.

Most Companies witness their share price escalating significantly, on increasing volumes, in the lead up to what transpires to be a good announcement.
In short, they leak like sieves and the priviledged few "in the know" are able to capitalise in a big, risk free way minutes beforehand.... without having their capital out in the market place for months on end, waiting for the good times.
PVM is tight... I have developed a rapport with the media personnel as well as the Managing Director and a respectful association has evolved. However, I am loathe to query anything too close to the bone as I am positive they would view it as testing their integrity, which I know is of the highest order.

These are good people.

Whether or not the announcement is good, great, wonderful,
stupendous... or disappointing... you will not get a forewarning clue from share price behaviour, as a direct result of COMPANY leakage.
The fundamentals of PMI are about as good as I have ever seen in past years... and about 10 months ago I reiterated to a colleage that "PMI had the potential to be the best trading result" on a sheet of paper listing several Companies.
The only thing that has changed is that I no longer consider TRADING this Company as such.... maybe a few at a time... but they are certainly a long term portfolio item.
They negated a loss I had previously endured in another gold Company, which turned out to be a dog with fleas.

The only "risk" with the share price will be the extent of selling by traders post announcement.... always a downer.
However, in June-July the Feasibility Study will be completed... a major milestone for any Company... at which time at least one Broking House has stated they will place a share price value of $1.73 (from memory).
