The Goldblatt Tide, a 70-meter ship chartered by Créocéan to explore the deep sea, left Luanda (Angola) on Friday night with an international team of oceanographers piloted by Créocéan .

After being equipped in Abidjan with winches and adapted sampling equipment (16 tons of material), he began collecting samples off Angola and then continued his investigations in Senegal and Mauritania. It is expected at the end of October in Abidjan for the demobilization of the equipment.

The objective of these campaigns is to characterize the environmental quality of these great bottoms (between 500 and 4000 m) by measuring elements of water and sediment quality but also by carrying out biological observations in areas that have not never been explored yet .
