I don't know if there was even a bidding process, if it was, starting bid must have been $5 per LCE Tonne no reserve.
What I think happened is there were 5 parties that expressed interest, only one of them made an offer, an offer that was apparently "too good to refuse" and they just went with that.
I don't think there were any discussions with their neighbours LAC and LTM, from my understanding all 5 parties were from China, and Ganfeng obviously didn't make an offer either.
