I'm not promoting it or cloud seeding, just pointing out a big error in the cost comparison if the Melbourne site is correct.

I thought it was fascinating recently when someone mentioned that the energy required to desalinate sea water was equivalent to pumping water 400km through a pipe.
Assuming that's correct, all the plans to pipe water from the north are fatally flawed and it explains the canal option, covered of course.

Wave powered desalination would seem a match made in heaven but better still to keep the natural stuff coming from the sky.
