After a sudden change of CEO and facing a strategy review, shareholders are left assuming that unless explicitly mentioned in the review, all other aspects are uncertain. This disoriented strategy review has created confusion and frustration.
A typical strategy review should follow this structure:
*Outline previous strategies, explain the rationale behind any changes, and detail the new strategies;
*Clarify which strategies will remain the same;
*Anything not mentioned should be assumed to remain same as before.
The failure of this strategy review highlights the interim CEO’s inability to address the shareholders’ main concern. Again we want a CEO who can get the carbonate plant in NAL up and running ASAP.
