I put it very coursely in that post you responded to, I should have posted that IMO elections are about percieved judgement and what level of trust you atribute to one candidate over another on a seat by seat basis keepin in mind the espoused policies. I think any preceptions that this Federal Government is capable of decent, sound judgement and able to manage in the best interests of all Australians as a whole is well and truly gone in the minds of most of the population IMO (regardless of what ever the polls say). It will be up to Labor to just prove they aren't the same as the Liberals and Nationals and they are a safer bet going forward though this inept, stupid, tin eared, self absorbed Federal Government abolutely bungled everything it touched and have left us will too many balls to juggle while not really fundamantally dealing with any issues well. The most fundamenal failing of the Liberals and Labor have done it too, is that they put forward unfit people to be potential P.M.s. That really needs to change. We can't afford any more unfit P.M.s when we have so much uncertainty domestically and internationally. Morrison is not a safe pair of hands I don't know how much more proof some people wan't before they wake up to that simple fact. All the best to you. Searcher2

Most politicians these days are unfit for office if we want meaningful long term change, and the party system, media and special interest groups are squarely to blame.
