I think a strong vote no campaign signals to a lot of players in the market.

1) Future investors will recognize a strong supporter base of high conviction
2) Future bids will recognize that the shareholders see the current share price as an accurate reflection of the company's value
3) Management see that it's shareholders are passionate about the company and believe in it. Perhaps the company should issue existing shareholders 1 option for every share, exercisable at 5c. This would raise about $5 million and probably not have a discernible negative impact
4) Illustrates to Pfizer they may be better off undertaking a JV and buying on market, rather than readjusting their bid
5) It drums up more media further printing the product and bringing in new investors
