Not sure I fully understand your points, but correct, the calls are primarily to ascertain shareholder sentiment re yes or no vote intentions, and to give shareholders opportunity to ask questions/express points of view - eg he asked what might persuade me to change my mind when I receive the scheme booklet, and I said the only information I will give credence to is the forthcoming independent expert's report.
By the way, I didn't let on that as a few of us suspect, I wouldn't be surprised if the board secretly hopes that we do reject the offer, and are playing it smart (can only hope!)
