Yes, imo the main 2 reasons for this lacklustre performance are:
- The board and MD don’t have any skin in the game.
- The high salaries they’re on which is not ride back to their performance, doesn’t give them incentive to try hard, something new or take some measured risks.
in fact it’s counterintuitive for them to take any risks lest they endanger their position and high salaries.
Their pay should be cut by 65%, and put in a 200% performance based bonus.
