Vote of NO CONFIDENCE in Sayona's Board of Directors

I am writing this post to express my complete lack of confidence in the Sayona board of directors.

    My concerns are as follows:

    1) An utter lack of leadership after dismissal of Brett Lynch as CEO. Brett Lynch was forced out of his position as CEO of Sayona Mining Limited, and this was announced on Monday, August 28th. No other announcements followed, there was no assurance of Sayona’s well-being, no course of action, no formal announcement that a search for a new CEO had begun. In other words, no sign of leadership. Why does it have to be the CEO of Piedmont Lithium, Keith Philips, who speaks out and tries to reassure the market that nothing is amiss with NAL and that production and delivery of spod will continue as is? The market is going to think Sayona is now a rudderless ship and will punish the company accordingly.

    2) An utter lack of diversity and technical/chemical knowledge on the board. The board as of now, is only 3.5 members which is unacceptable. It is also devoid of diversity. Amongst the three, James Brown, Paul Crawford, and Allan Buckler, you basically could just write one biography: “Forty years experience, former coal miner, old, irrelevant fart.” Where is the technical knowledge? Chemical knowledge? ESG knowledge? Diversity? Diversity is an absolute requirement in these days and age. The board as is, would disqualify Sayona for any uplisting. There is a complete and distinct lack of counterweights, dissent, and different backgrounds/expertise that makes for a healthy board.

    3) Poor record of leadership by internim CEO James Brown. James Brown, as you all know, is responsible for the fiasco that was Altura Mining. While there were circumstances beyond his control such as the price of lithium, his track record since hasn’t improved, with continual poor communication to shareholders. He is currently the MD of Sayona Mining, Morella,Corporation (the 1MC board has a very poor opinion of him) and a director of Greenwing Resources Ltd. That is too many hats to wear. The shorter his tenure, the better.

    4) Sayona’s horrible marketing and communication still continues. If James Brown thinks hiring that hack, Howard Klein, to be our new megaphone will solve anything, he’s got another thought coming. The RK equity newsletter reaches only 7,500 subscribers, and the rock stock channel only reaches 6,300. While most content is free of charge, the real analysis content requires a paid subscription, and I also don’t have to mention that we still have a kid running our twitter page, and our finance manager, Dougal Elder, doubles as our public relations manager, while Anthony Fensom has his feet up on a desk somewhere and yells “watch this space” every now and then to earn a paycheck. We need a complete and competent team of investor relations specialists whose ONLY job is to interact with shareholders and the public at large.

With over 50% retail ownership, we can easily muster the 5% required to force a motion of no confidence in the board which would force them to convene a General Meeting of shareholders to defend themselves against dismissal. While I’m not saying we should do that immediately (it should be our last very last option). I do think the board must be put on notice, RIGHT NOW. Starting with this post, and I strongly encourage YOU, and every one of YOU to contact Sayona to make YOUR dissatisfaction with the board’s lack of action, known.

    Please do that.
