Could AS be selling stock because he may be asked/pushed to vacate the CEO chair by Amgen as part of the deal or is the deal on shaky ground and AS not confident that he can pull it off. Or maybe he is in need of some cash, and thought he would sell off whilst the price had improved ( i do recall something about a filing re a loan where share were put up), maybe his cash position deteriated who knows, all I can say it is purely speculation unless you get the reason from the horses mouth. Please weigh the risk for yourself.
