Not interested in st value or takeover. Sorry if I gave that impression. I didn't think I had. I am a realist though and do see a t/o sometime into the future, don't know when, not a sure thing, but I believe it to be likely. I have been holding MEL a very long time and I am well in the red like many. I would prefer price to rise significantly prior to any t/o or jv action.
Big companies do not care so much about "minority" community/social engagement (license?). They don't need to.
They spend millions employing government lobbyists who make them fade away into obscurity within government and public eyes.
There are thousands of industries that "actually" pollute the world - unlike CSG - that continue without disturbance or protest to pollute and produce and make money for shareholders. Many of them active in Australia, many active in NR/Byron Bay/Lismore etc. Don't see them on the news making headlines.
If a major comp, one that has economical importance to Australia, gets hold of MEL, protesters will not be given the recognition they currently receive or be as influencial as they currently are over it's gas activities.
