You should be grateful that the IE has concluded that the deal is BOTH fair and reasonable.
"In the absence of a superior proposal" is self explanatory - nothing suss about that.
During the GFC, in the REIT sector, I saw many deals go ahead (compulsory acquisition of minority shareholders' shares) even when the IE had said that the deal was reasonable but not fair.
Its time to get the vaseline out.
