The management team is already demotivated. They are missing deadlines by ~12 months and still not giving a clear date on when it will be completed and giving half arsed reasons at last minute for why they missed the deadlines. It's like a demotivated kid whose "dog ate ate his homework".
Shareholders already tried to motivate them with those exact bonuses 5 years ago and it didn't work and they let us down. Why would we try the same again?
Simon Noon is already paid a good salary and has a decent holding in the company. He shouldn't need more motivation than that. However, I am happy to motivate him with a challenging performance right, but not one that requires he does bugger all for the next 5 years while we get diluted away.
I think you are forgetting that we pay his bills and fund the company. In return he should be motivating us and others to invest in the company - not the other way around.
