Every voter should read their local member's maiden speech. I've said this before. It doesn't matter whether you voted for them or not but what you should do is throw that maiden speech in their face every election. It will be full of unfulfilled promises, goals and ideals. At the end of the day they are all mere party hacks and not worth pissing on.
