Cheetah, fully agree. Dr. Anderegg is certainly qualified to guide a therapeutic through the regulatory hurdles in the EMA. But it makes one wonder why a consultant from Germany would be chosen to be an "acting" VP of Business Development for an Australian company when she is currently chief executive of her own successful business.

Also makes one wonder if the "acting" VP will be a full-time Prana executive or only a temporary name and title to get through Pitch & Partner and address the challenge of finding a collaborative partner who will be willing to provide ongoing knowledgeable guidance and funds for Prana when it begins late-stage clinical trials for PBT2. The reason for of Dr. Smith's early departure remains puzzling. Was he "let go" or was his departure his decision? It was Prana's loss as he was not replaced and the company continued on the downward slope. Anyway you are correct in bringing up the comparison.

There is no question that someone in charge solely of business development is a necessity. The word "acting" is a clue that Dr. Anderegg will be deciding on the job whether she chooses to provide full-time VP duties or whether Prana will be just another client in her consulting business.

As usual Prana has not issued a press release about an important matter. It was announced on another message board that Dr. Anderegg was "hired". We won't know if she was actually hired or contracted or if there will be more than an "acting" VP of Business Development until Prana tells us so. The matter of having someone's name and picture suddenly show up as a conference speaker with a new Prana title doesn't absolve Prana's CEO/COB and Board of Directors from their responsibility of informing their shareholders.
