sandys: WHY a "hostile bid"? Why not simply a bid good enough so that it will not be refused, i.e. get done. To do so, VPE will likely want to offer for instance a 4 for 1 (or even a 5 for 1) PLUS an adequately resp. really HIGH cash component to clinch the deal. IF the 25 mio. raising that is alluded to on the VPE board (of course I am NOT sure that this is CORRECT information or not!!) is indeed correct, then VPE would/will have more than enough funds to sweeten the deal as much as necessary to make it happen. All just purely speculative thinking here, of course.
