Oran Park House sale terminated

THE historic Oran Park House is no longer for sale.

Valad Property Group withdrew the country manor estate from the market, six months after it was first listed.

Confirming the property had been withdrawn from sale, a spokeswoman for the company said: ``We no longer needed to sell it''.

The house and its 107 hectares will remain in the ownership of the property management company.

Valad bought the site, including the 152-year-old Georgian house on Cobbitty Road, in 2007 for $19million.

At the time, Valad reported the worth of the property which has been awaiting State Heritage listing since 2004 to be $24million if part of it was rezoned and sold as residential land and part maintained as heritage and riparian zones.

The Advertiser reported last September that ``a number of parties'' had expressed an interest in purchasing the property during an expressions of interest process that opened last July.
