Hi Folks
I would love to see an Australian company and Australian developed technology help deal with the grid crisis and also re-employ the workforce who are losing their jobs from coal-fired generators. The Latrobe Valley (where I am from) would be an excellent base to develop the Victorian options - all the major connectors flow from here; the workforce is skilled in power generation and management; and the Victorian government are currently keen to get some new businesses into the Valley. The Hazelwood brown coal power station closes on the 31st March - so this is all very timely.
I can really see the Latrobe Valley as a site that can help manage the transition from coal-fired to renewable grid systems in this state.
