An update to my earlier chart.

VTI did drop through support on Friday and a reasonable support area can now be plotted going back to that above average volume bar back in late August - that gives a channel between 22 and 28 and it's been there before so nothing remarkable.

Worthwhile noting that Friday's bar is a bit anomalous in that the spread is fairly narrow but the volume is reasonably high for that spread, this makes that bar a bit weaker than what it looks like and I wouldn't be surprised to see a slowing of the downtrend or at least a decrease in the effort that's being put into it.
