VTI seems to continue to be busy behind the scenes of late.. Currently hosting an Acid Mine drainage conference on the Gold Coast as others have previously posted..
The Qld Government Advanced Wastewater TreatmentTechnology Scheme (AWITT) also lists them as among a shortlist of 11 applicants out of 30 and requested them to submit further details of their “Phosphate Reduction and Bio solid Stabilisation Process using Bauxsol Technology”, for their assessment prior to offers being made of funding assistance for the introduction of “innovative and efficient sewerage treatment technologies” into the state .
And in 2 weeks time, Prof McConchie will be in the US at a conference sponsored by the National Association of Abandoned Mine Land Programs re the ongoing evaluation of the Gilt Edge trials.
A quick check of the others on the team reveals “THE Big Gun “from the USEPA, Mr Wangerud and a representative from a worldwide engineering company involved in remediation programs..
This begs the question, of all the technologies trialled at Gilt Edge, why would they present a paper on the Bauxsol Trials..........if it wasnt the most successful?
And what part do CDM play in this ?
From their home page.

PS: There is also at least one other trial at another site been or being conducted in the US using Bauxsol.
And trials of Bauxsol on arsenic removal are also under way at a Danish University as part of a PHD project..
Cheers.
