Neither would the eV revolution.
Sodium ion batteries are years away from making it into a vehicle due to size and weight. OK if you want to use it in your house or factory, but no good where space and weight is critical. Current experimental tech sodium ion batteries are about half the energy density of lithium ion at about 285w/h per kg.. Catl are producing one at the moment for home storage and it is only 160w/h per kg. Definitely a lot safer, but years from being a competitor to lithium in phones, laptops, bikes, cars and trucks. Don't forget Lion battery tech is also advancing at a rapid pace
