Just thinking through the requirement of battery and EV manufacturers to have the highest grade lithium materials in the supply chain, and the outcomes it has for consistent production quality control and optomised EV range - very important for Australians - I think Vulcan has thought ahead more than most people appreciate.

Appendix 6 in the October 21 Corporate Presentation has planned for facial recognition, block chain and AI technology to provide proof of compliance and reputational protection. Think of how important this will be when Vulcan starts production of Zero Carbon Lithium. Less honest dealers in the market will want to pass off their product as Zero Carbon to get the premium that will rightly be assigned to a truly sustainable product with high ESG values. EV & battery makers want to have confidence in the supply chain and their own standards..

Recalls are incredibly expensive. We just found out that our Hyundai Kona EV has to be recalled due to shortcomings in the lithium battery insulation. At the moment we can only charge to 90 per cent capacity which impacts our range somewhat. The positive is our second hand car hasn't caught fire, will get a new battery and (hopefully) a long warranty.

Vulcan has put a lot of information out there. We have to be patient over the next 18 months or so until they near production. As shareholders we're entitled to be informed but not to the degree that we know every detail of everyday management.
