There has been absolutely no mention or talk about tech grade.
The going understanding is that it is ALL battery grade, but I cannot confirm that definitively.

What I can say is that Korean cathode manufacturers have tested two seperate batches from the pilot plant at 99.94% and 99.95% purity.
Another end user from Japan bought 20T of >99.5% battery grade lithium produced by the pilot plant.

Operating costs per ton will reduce as they scale up.
The last reported cost was ~$4600/ @10ktpa, $4300/t@15ktpa.
Quite low cost and they have very little corporate overhead and no debt.... they will be fine.

Although suggestions that BG lithium will go anywhere near $7kpt in the imaginable future seems a bit far fetched at the moment.
