For the Ortenau license area, a resource size
of 13.2 million tonnes LCE was estimated (Vulcan Energy, 2019), which corresponds to the
quality of the assessment with the highest uncertainty category ("inferred resource") for an
identified resource. An assessment was made on a classification according to the Australian
Joint Ore Reserves Committee Code (JORC) from the year 2012. The current JORC
classification refers primarily to the assessment of mineral resources and ore deposits and is
therefore not potentially suitable for the assessment of thermal water resources.
