The technology itself (DLE) does work and is done commercially in other parts of the world, however, the way they process the brine needs to be adapted to each location. Vulcan has already proven they can do it at a small scale. The whole point of the demo plant is to test and prove they can do it at a large scale with their technique.

I always have a pessimist view with these things so I do expect them to run into some issues. For example, maybe the extraction rate is lower than expected when they ramp up the scale of their operations but that’s something they can work on and adapt to if required. It’s not something we can really predict with any certainty until everything is up and running.

I’m not sure what you mean by Vulcan failing to prove geothermal works in the area? Why would they need to prove that? Or are you referring to the combination of both..?
