It was a fact finding, information gathering mission to understand what was being undertaken.As the industrial minister said there are a lot of approvals that need to be granted and they would like to accelerate them but they have to go through the usual process. They realise that there is an element of the population that is unsure of this new technology and they have to reduce the angst within the population as to making the process transparent and approved along every step of the way.
The Insheim plant has been in operation for many years so it is significant that the heavies from the state parliament are visiting the plant and understanding what geothermal lithium and heating extraction is all about.
The article points out to that there are many other firms in the area trying to extract geothermal heating and lithium from the ground, so it is potentially will develop into a large industry.
It is clear that it is becoming a political hotspot with the oncoming winter and the Russians cutting off gas supplies . So it is very positive that they are wanting to do something about it very quickly and it may lead to plenty of government support as well.
