I have worked for and constructed 5 lithium( spodumene conversion) and 1 lithium hydroxide plants around the world for a number of lithium companies.
In general they are not very good management teams. While they come from exploration and stock/ equity management, when it comes to the forecasting, scheduling and development of working mines and facilities they are very poor to incompetent.
The normal practice is to try and farm out the cost and execution risk to a third party EPCM or EPC company. Albemarle has been the worst and anybody associated with there delivery and management should be given a clear steer.
