I am almost certain the only reason the SP is at these levels and being shorted so heavily is purely because of the fact we know there is a capital raise of ~$500m coming. These shorters are trying to get the price down as far as possible so they can get as many shares as they can. If they could they’d have us down to a $5m MC but reality says that’s impossible. At the current price they’ll get about half ownership of the company as a collective in the raise, or doubling VUL’s shares so to speak.

I really do hope VUL management pull the wool over these shorting twats eyes and put a contingent on the shares such as putting them in escrow until 2026/7 or something along those lines. The true believers will have no qualms with this investment condition.
