If the stocks you had bought were down but others in a similar sector are not, or perhaps are rising when your selections are falling it might be time to worry. Since that is not the case (everything is down) then Mr Market is sulking. Being underwater in a diversified portfolio is just a moment in time, an uncomfortable time to be sure, but history shows the market will return once all the weak hands have folded.
