The simple answer is also to check your trading platform for how they update share count. Some only scalp the last audited count (so basically from Annual Report), some scalp from last financials (so may half year), some go to the trouble of calculating "Fully Diluted" which would assume all options exercised (usually done by brokers) ... this can be really important for a mining company that's issued lots of options along the way.
