Friday the German minister for transport Has decided to add pressure to a foreseeable surplus of 22 million tons of CO2 in the Transport industry. He added that by 2030 it will be In the range of117-190 million tons in surplus.
the climate protection act says that by 2045 it must be carbon neutral. Alarm bells are ringing that this will not be the case. Although he has posturing to scrap the act he is threatening to forbid cars running on Saturday and Sunday. This was done in the oil crisis of 1980 so it is not unprecedented.others favour a traffic limit on the autobahn of 120 but that only saves 7million tons and he does not favour that.
There is a complacency that 2045 is a long way off and no one wants to change their ways in the last 40 years, the number of cars have doubled.
Hard to believe that they will not get the finance when you’ve got desperation on converting quickly more fossil fuel cars to EV cars as that is the intention with a change in the equation of fossil fuel cars to EVs
