I would not agree that some of these traditional auto manufacturers are still pinning hopes on hybrids for infrastructure reasons. That thinking and reluctance is mainly just an excuse for lack of progress/success in their own BEV efforts. It's like towing a horse & trailer behind ones ones latest model ICE just in case it's ever needed and despite the additional costs involved. The auto makers rapidly becoming the new established global leaders are the leading BEV marketers with their greatly extended ranges and reducing prices imo. The inevitable transition will happen much faster than most people think possible, especially with those solid state batteries due on the market by key players very soon now.
