So why are you here if you don't believe in its growth???

If VUL wasn't a spec, it would have been almost fully de-risked and potential growth wouldn't be there - i.e when they are already producing. Maybe that's a more comfortable time for you to invest to minimise you're worries.

This goes for any stock, in general the earlier you're in the more risk it carries but the larger the potential growth for you. Do your own research and back it if you believe in it. If not then don't bother, but sitting in limbo and backing stocks you don't believe in, which you seem to have done here (if you do actually own VUL) is counterintuitive.
