"Valhalla Uranium holds interests in two strategic exploration license applications in the East
Alligator River area. The Beatrice South ELA covers portions of the lower Proterozoic Cahill
formation, at or near the unconformity with the overlying mid Proterozoic quartz sandstones of
the Kombolgie Formation. This stratigraphy is host to the Ranger and Jabiluka uranium deposits
immediately to the north-east. The Mt Gilruth ELA covers the Gilruth Inlier, an interpreted downfaulted
block of the South Alligator stratigraphy, host to the Coronation Hill Uranium/gold/PGM
deposit.
The Mt Gilruth and Beatrice South projects are currently operated by Afmeco Mining and
Exploration Pty Ltd (‘Afmex’) part of the global Cogema/Areva energy group. ‘Afmex’ are
currently progressing the Native Title applications with the Northern Land Council, and it is
hoped title will be granted in the near future."
