From a Club Lime members perspective...chalk and cheese compared to the franchise outfits like anytime fitness, snap fitness etc. The franchisee hosts an array of 'deals' and 'sales' to jam as many members onto their score card (of course, it's a business) with typically, smaller floor spaces and more of an 'entry level' range of equipment. As a consequence existing members pop (me), cancel and go elsewhere. Contrary, newbies find the overcrowding far too intimidating on top of it being overly uncomfortable for them in the first place. They also cancel their memberships.
Unique to Club Lime, disregarding the "all club" membership, your membership fees correspond with the floor space of your local club. Other commercial gyms you will find you pay the same membership fees for the 100square metre club (conveniently just up the road from you) as your mate Harry who just so happens to live close to one of the bigger clubs on the other side of town.
As a Canberra local, I've seen first hand Club Lime develop from just a single club immersed in a locally saturated commercial gym market, to where it is today with some 60 clubs under its belt.
From a 24 year old CUSTOMER'S perspective only... I've been in since it's IPO.
