National Electric Vehicle Chinese-Backed Firm Signs Electric-Car Deal
National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB, the Chinese-backed company seeking to revive the Saab auto brand, said it signed a deal to supply 150,000 electric vehicles to a Chinese leasing company.
The vehicles, based on the Saab 9-3 sedan, will be delivered to Panda New Energy by 2020.
Earlier this year NEVS found new investors in China with a view to building a factory in the country and starting production.
National Modern Energy Holdings Ltd., a Hong Kong-based holding company, owns the majority of NEVS.
