Australia is such a small global player it doesn't matter long-term what our politicians do. Market forces from the major car manufacturers will eventually take hold with EV's providing a better economic proposition to the consumer. <<<<< This is what is important.
Once this happens it'll be a waterfall event for those still holding ICE vehicles and infrastructure being valued at a fraction. I believe from previous technology adoption rates when the industry hits 20-30% uptake it'll all be over. See early car adoption v horse karts in NYC at turn of last century, and don't worry about waiting for 2030's, I believe we're seeing it with the Model 3 and the VW ID.3 now.
