Hi @Gipp - totally agree, super exciting re VW wanting such large off-takes organised by year's end! I have long suspected that a lot of other huge deals have been happening in secret as car companies and battery makers quietly lock up supply.

In this excellent video below Tesla Director of Battery Technology Kurt Kelty talks materials and discusses how Tesla is doing deals with both junior and established miners, mostly in secret. It's a really great watch for anyone wanting a better insight into Teslas' battery tec and materials strategies. Interestingly he says cobalt won't be a problem for Tesla. Whether this is a bluff to keep investors calm, or means they have already stitched-up long-term mega cobalt deals is unclear.
