KB said at the last GM that they'd been in talks with organisations in Europe but had not had any talks with anyone in North America.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will lead a delegation of about 1000 officials and businesspeople to Perth in November for a regional conference, to be led by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and his wife Lucy.

The conference, which has been driven largely by Finance Minister Mathias Cormann, will see discussions on security and defence industry, mining, education and infrastructure.
Other figures heading to Perth include the head of BHP Billiton Andrew Mackenzie, the Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, as well as much of the Turnbull Government cabinet.

Senator Cormann and Mrs Turnbull – a former head of the Australia-Germany chamber of commerce – have been working to build trade links between the two countries as the strong German economy continues to dominate Europe.

And I read recently that VAG CEO Matthias Mueller said " The transformation in our industry is unstoppable. And we will lead that transformation. VAG have earmarked 50 billion euros to procure batteries..... now that's a lot of cash.

It would be pretty cool if while all the 'big cheeses' were in town in November a deal could be signed off with PLS.
