VW announced that will use “Synthetic Graphite “ , perhaps ideal for cars , as will be more affordable.
NVX is involved with it .
But this doesn’t means every battery would use graphite.
The biggest battery usage should be land .
So I believe there is room for every tech , as long is affordable.
