Since the last post, I have established that:
1. It is necessary to complete the W-8BEN for Australian citizens wishing to claim the 15% tax concession under the Australia/US Double Taxation Agreement (DTA).
2. It is possible to submit one W-8BEN form for multiple ETFs held by the same share registry (e.g. IVV and IRU). In my case, I will need to submit a W-8BEN to computershare.com for IVV and IRU and a W-8BEN to investorserve.com.au for the shares held with VTS.
