Okay I made a million.
Pity it is April Fool's day
The week started with a loss on AJMOA which equated to about 4% of my
total portfolio. As much as I felt that AJM looks promising it looked to
me like this was becoming leash capital. The loss hurt but at least I
recovered some paper losses this had occurred during the last week.
Tuesday I had lunch with my wife and my parents; so far the most exciting happening this week.
Wednesday; everybody seems to be making money and all I am doing is
looking at a slippery slide portfolio.
Thursday I take a one pip loss on WHNO. A decent announcement on IPR
induces me to get a stake in this company; I am now happy to take a
position as a short term trader as the few positions taking a day trades
ended up on the negative side.
Friday I take a position in UXA and sell my HLNG out of my dividend
portfolio to take a position in SIP. SIP are paying a 15c fully franked
dividend and have a 3c trading range. My idea is that I am happy to wait
and get the dividend and hope to sell for a loss less than the dividend
or perhaps trade for a small profit on Monday. Both KIKO and MCX are
recovering and my portfolio has arrested its slide. The end result for
the week is a bearable trading loos and my portfolio showing a slight
improvement. After severe doubts whether my ideas on trading had any
validity I think that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I was
pleased that HLL gave me some advice and I advise anyone who had now
seen that post to read it. I found it very valuable.
I ended selling half of my KIKO holding in case the weekend turns out
nasty and it give me the option to put the money back into KIK(O) or
spot the runner on Monday. This game is very much about spotting
opportunities and watching that you don?t end up the bunny as the run
peters out.
I hope everyone has a good weekend and wish you all good trading next
week.
