100km to the fresh water bore field, thats a long drive when one of the pumps stops working, but then everything about lake mackay is a long drive.
this will require a local power source as it is too far from the plant to use the main power supply i'm guessing.
100km of large diameter water pipe can't be cheap.
big project, big challenges, big rewards (???).
