    The problem WA gov has is with the electricity generators not the distribution network.

    When Alan (spin doctor)Carpenter split up SECWA he promised that electricity prices would not rise for X years. So far that has happened but in that time cost of generation has soared. Electricity prices now need to be increased by around 50% just to break even.

    Expect price rises every year of around 10 to 15% for WA
